Cafferkey Civils Ltd. is concerned about the Environment and operates an Environmental Management System on all projects. The EMS is certified to ISO 14001:2015, the International Standard for Environmental Management.

The Company Environmental Policy commits to providing environmentally sensitive solutions for dealing with all aspects of civil works on your project, in accordance with current legislation and best industry work practices.

At the outset of a project, all environmental aspects are comprehensively reviewed with the Client to ensure their environmental obligations and objectives are met.

Contaminated Site

Experience

Working on sites containing contaminated material from Type A inert, Type B inert, Type C Non-Hazardous to Type D Hazardous, including certified disposal to EPA licensed facilities or exported abroad
Working on demolition sites including segregating, recycling and disposal of various waste streams
Working on sites located in highly sensitive urban and rural habitats and environments
Working near water courses
Working on Archaeological sensitive and conservation sites

Implementation

Promote environmental awareness amongst its employees, suppliers and subcontractors
Promote the development of improved standards and methods of construction and manufacture that are energy conscious and utilize construction materials in an efficient manner
Adopt working methods that minimize damage or impact the environment
Ensure that materials are handled and disposed of in a manner that does not adversely affect the environment
Promote or maintain close relationships with enforcing and regulatory authorities
Provide staff with the skills, knowledge and training to identify and manage environmental issues on site
